HUMANRACE SKINCARE BY Pharrell Williams | REVIEW

A few weeks ago I got my hands on @pharrell’s new skincare line, @humanrace !

Humanrace is a  new vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainable skincare line created by the non-aging Pharrell Williams. The messaging of this brand focusing on the links between your spirit and wellbeing as it relates to your skincare ritual.

I personally am a big fan of the brand’s core values because my skincare routine has been my moments of meditation and self reflection.

I picked up the complete set which retails for $100 and includes:

  • Step 1. Rice Powder Cleanser – $32
  • Step 2. Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator – $46
  • Step 3. Humidifying Cream – $48

When it comes to the product line-up, I find the 3-step routine is perfect for skincare newbies as well as skincare minimalists. These core products are perfect as a routine on its own or incorporated into an existing routine.

You can my watch my 1-week first impressions in my below YouTube video

I used this line for 2 weeks as my morning skincare routine and here are my final thoughts

Step 1. Rice Powder Cleanser

The rice powder cleanser is formulated with AHAs and, you guessed it, rice powder. I find the ingredients work to gently, yet thoroughly, cleanse your face. My face is not dry at all after using this which I love. My only con is the powder itself. The powder dispenses fine but once you add water, the product becomes so runny and drips all over my arms

Step 2. Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator

BIlled as the triple-action exfoliator, the Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator is packed with glycolic acid, AHAs, and enzymes along with rice particles. This is both a physical and chemical exfoliator.

Physically I did not get that polished, super exfoliated, feel to my skin surface. That was due to the very gentle rice particles. I prefer a good “scrub” when it comes to exfoliating but this would be perfect for those with sensitive skin.

On the chemical side, the enzyme action really provides a bright and smooth look to my skin.

Step 3. Humidifying Cream

The Humidifying Cream is the ALL-STAR of the group! hands-own my favorite of the 3 and I said this only after one use. The consistency is on the thicker side but absorbs quick and completely. The formula contains squalene and hyaluronic acid which creates the perfect hydration storm that is long-lasting on my skin. It’s currently Winter here on the East Coast so this fit perfectly in my routine.
