Oh, and the bundle was also sent with a cute and plush pastel pink scrunchy all wrapped inside an Erno Laszlo embossed drawstring bag!

I reviewed the Erno Laszlo Brightening Beginnings Set for only two weeks but I saw INSTANT results on the first use! Erno Laszlo’s mission statement emphasizes that creating a skin routine is the key to smooth glowing skin and I’m here to say I can 100% attest to that! These products have become my skin ritual these last few weeks and were so easy to incorporate into my schedule.

Now, on to my review!

Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse

A first look at the Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse, I thought the look of the liquid inside the bottle was so cool and fun! The double cleanser contains a super light-weight liquid with nodules of Black Charcoal. The formula is infused with charcoal, super fruits enzymes, and kale protein. This super blend of nutrients works to deeply cleanse pores and smooth and restore skin’s surface.

When I initially used the Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse I was a little confused and unconvinced. The reason for this is because after applying 2 pumps and cleansing my face, my skin felt too smooth! So smooth in fact I was convinced that I still had trace oil or product from the day still stuck on my face! So, I applied 2 more pumps…and still, smooth skin.

I got the same result every time I used the cleanser. My skin was left clean, soft, and smooth but not dry or tight like most deep clean cleansers. This attribute is what makes this Double Cleanse my top 5 favorite cleansers.

White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel

If I had to choose a favorite product from the Brightening Beginnings bundle it would hands-down have to be the White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel duo! The duo is infused with Vitamin C, Carrot Seed Oil, and Lactic Acid. These antioxidant-rich ingredients work together to give exfoliated, smooth, radiant, and even complexion!

This 2-step Vitamin C peel includes Step 1 which is the gentle peel and Step 2 which is the activator. The step 1 peel has a very present citrus smell. I compare the smell to Sunny Delight drink or, even more old-school, those ‘Tang’ drinks. The product is like a thick, gritty texture with a cross between a cream and a gel consistency. Step 2 is a liquid consistency, like a light-weight serum and doesn’t have a noticeable smell.

I used this peel combo twice a week in the evening. I tend to apply similar brightening or greatly exfoliating products in the evenings as part of my night-time skin routine and not too often. The reasoning is that my skin tends to be sensitive and since I wear makeup daily and I’m out in the harsh sun during the day, I prefer to use exfoliators/brightening products as the last step in my ritual to avoid contact with the elements.

When using the duo, I applied a finger tip sized amount of Step 1 all over my face and massaged it in circular motions, applying some pressure as I do it. I do this for 1-2 minutes focusing on my congested areas on my chin and nose. Without rinsing my face, I applied 2-3 drops of Step 2 activator on top of Step 1 and massage for another 1-2 minutes.

Listennnnn when I tell you my skin was so smooth it was SCARY! IT was as if I had a professional facial done. As shook as I was with how great my skin felt I was just as awestruck with how glowy my skin was!! And this was before I applied any additional step of my skincare routine. My skin simply looked and felt amazing immediately after using and the next morning!

I’ll add that so far I personally have not seen any noticeable changes in my dark spots and discoloration.

Antioxidant Complex for Eyes

Last but certainly not least, the Antioxidant Complex for Eyes is an eye serum with a jelly-like texture with a noticeable spiral Aloe extract in the center of the gel. I can’t lie, I was little scared when I first saw the jar like ‘EW WHAT’S THAT IN THERE??!’ Haha. The science nerd in me thought it looked like a DNA double helix structure.

The Antioxidant Complex is, as the name suggests, a gel formulated with Mulberry Extract, Vitamin C, and Aloe Vera. These ingredients combine to form an antioxidant super-complex that brightens and firms the delicate skin around the eye.

I began using the eye gel every other night and transitioned to nightly use. The product is one of the thickest eye products I’ve ever used. The product comes with a tiny spatula that I used to scoop out a small amount onto my ring finger and dab it onto my undereye area as well as over my eyelid.

The gel consistency of the Antioxidant Complex makes it easy to use too much product but let me tell you, A LITTLE GOES A VERY LONG WAY! It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and has a cooling sensation. The formula is instantly hydrating and you can feel the skin firming right as you swipe it on. It’s really insane!

Even though I don’t suffer from dark circles, the morning after applying the gel, my eye area is visibly moisturized, radiant, and PLUMP. It just gives my whole eye are a more youthful appearance which I definitely need after a long and stressful work day!

In summary, The Erno Laszlo Brightening Beginnings Set is a game-changer! If you are dealing with uneven texture and a dull complexion, these would be a perfect addition to your skin routine.
