A little while I ago I was sent some products from R + Co to try out and review. I received their HIGH DIVE Moisture + Shine Crème and the VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray. I’ll just say it now, these are honestly a dynamic duo!

Some quick details on my hair: Bleached, coily 4B/4C textured hair. My hair is generally in between dry and moisturized, leaning more on the dry side of the spectrum. And I describe it as the texture of a cotton ball, an odd hybrid of soft and rough.

HIGH DIVE Moisture + Shine Crème

I used the R + Co HIGH DIVE Moisture + Shine Creme as a moisturizing leave-in conditioner and styler. The cream has a pleasant light floral scent ( I’m terrible at pinpointing what something smells like but this smells good lol). The texture is not too thick but a light cream that spreads easily.

As I applied the creamy textured product to sections of my hair, I could feel the transformation immediately. My curls were just so buttery soft and clumped my curls perfectly. I used this all over my head in sections to style my hair into bantu knots.

VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray

I’ve never been a big hairspray lover but I’ve been incorporating them more and more into my hair care routine for an added light hold and to preserve my styles longer. Nothing has ever worked for me and I ended being forced to use a gel that leaves me with hard curls. The R + Co VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray really lives up to its name.

Once I was done twisting my hair into bantu knots, I sprayed my entire head with the VICIOUS hairspray to seal the entire style in. The next morning when I unraveled my twists my hair was NOT CRUNCHY and my curls were POPPIN! Literally my ideal hair situation.

Results

I wore my hair in this bantu knot-out style for 3 days and I was amazed how my curls were still so defined! My curls survived the outrageous heat, humidity, rain, and my overly sweaty body. The R + Co HIGH DIVE Moisture + Shine Creme gave me super soft and juicy curls while the R + Co VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray gave me lasting hold that still gave my hair movement. Like I said earlier, the HIGH DIVE cream and the VICIOUS hairspray were a dynamic duo!

I plan on using these lovely R + Co products in the future especially on those gross humid days! I’ll keep y’all posted.
