Almost a year ago this April, Fenty Beauty released their Body Lava, a high shimmer body glow luminizer. Initially there were two limited edition shades, #WhoNeedsClothes’ and #BrownSugar. Today Fenty Beauty has announced another killer shade in #TrophyWife! All 3 are available now at Fentybeauty.com. 

So with all this excitement for the return of the Body Lava, I had to unearth all my previous content from the initial launch! Hopefully this helps someone trying to decide on whether or not this is the product for them or just trying to decide on a shade to purchase.

I don’t have my hands on the “Tropy Wife” Body Lava shade but here are some shots of the ‘Brown Sugar’ and “Who Needs Clothes” shades. Below you will also see my video trying on both items.

My Thoughts

The formula of the Fenty Beauty Body Lava luminzers is oddly non-sticky but somehow has a huge amount of staying power! After my first application, I still had a visible shimmer THREE DAYS LATER. It lasted through 6 showers! HOW, SWAY! It ultimately stayed on my skin for a total of 5 days. See snippets at the bottom of this post.

A key takeaway is, the Fenty Beauty Body Lava will be great for Summer. Through sweat, swimming pools, festivals, IT AINT GOING NOWHERE! Get glowing, sis.
