Trying NEW Products! | ft. Alter Ego Temptress Palette + More

Generally, if I find a product I really like, I tend to stick to it until death! But these last 6 months I’ve really been hopping around and trying new things. And yeah, trying out new make-up is fun!

I recently received a new eyeshadow palette from Alter Ego and was so excited I tried it out that same day lol. The Alter Ego ‘Temptress’ palette is a pigmented, high quality, and affordable dupe to the Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Sultry’ Palette. The brand is cruelty-free and paraben free. The palette is $16 on the shopalterego.com site and with my code ‘GINA’ you can receive 15% off your purchase. And for a limited time, your purchase comes with free shipping and a 2-Brush set!

Typically, when it comes to affordable or ‘cheap’ make-up, consumers tend to regard them as low-quality alternatives. But that is far from the truth when it comes to the ‘Temptress’ palette. The shades are not all chalky, they blend well, and best of all, they are pigmented. Even the shimmer shades are great without having to wet your brush. I am so satisfied with this palette. I wore this eye look for about half a day, a few hours, and it held up! I can’t wait to create more looks with this baby.

With the excitement of a new palette, I decided to film a full look using a bunch of other new products I got recently! Enjoy the photos and video below for more detailed thoughts and impressions on all products listed.

I'm a Nigerian gal born and raised in NJ. I got my BA in Biology from Johns Hopkins University and I recently received my Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University. I am a beauty enthusiast and freelance photographer. If you want to contact me (or donate to my dreams) my email is ginaisblogging(at)gmail(dot)com.
