A Look At My December Allure Box | January Box Sneak Peak

In 2019 I am aiming to try and spend less money on make-up…so far I am failing miserable BUT there is still time for improvement! Anyway, I decided to finally try these Beauty subscriptions everyone raves about on the Internet. In my head I believe these subscriptions are a good way to save money and also try a wider range of products and brands.

The Allure Beauty Box was the first subscription I decided on partly because I have an Allure Magazine subscription but also because in my opinion they truly do know beauty and are always abreast of new trends and products.

I signed up for the Allure Beauty Box during the last week of December but according to their policy whatever month you sign up, you are guaranteed that month’s box. So, I was excited because I really wanted the December box that I saw everyone posting about on Instagram!

So here we are! For reference, I received my December box during the second week of January. Each box has set items which every subscriber will receive as well as one or 2 items that will vary per person. Allure sends out emails prior to shipping that informs you of what you’ll be receiving.

The Allure Beauty Box costs $15 per month with your first box only costing $10. Each box is valued at $50-$90. You can sign-up here!

My December Allure Beauty Box items:

@ofracosmetics x NikkieTutorials #Everglow Highlighter
@nyxcosmetics #liplingerie in “Cabaret Show”
@juviasplace custom Nubian Palette mini
@bliss “Eye Got This” Holographic Foil Eye Masks
@lasplashcosmetics #artkitekt Waterproof Slim Eyeliner
@neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelette Singles
@zoyanailpolish Nail Polish

I really like all the items in this box. The Juvia’s Place custom Nubian palette might be favorite because I own the full-sized version and I think this one is just the cutest lil thing! I already own the same Ofra Highlighter but in the old Ofra packaging so I enjoyed this white and sleek packaging a lot more. NYX Lip Lingerie is my top favorite formula from NYX so I was excited about this lippie. Even more so because it was in a shade that I would have never picked up myself. After wearing it though, it’s my new favorite! The Neutrogena make-up towelette will make a nice travel/emergency item and honestly, the Neutrogena make-up wipes twin-pack use to be a staple in my routine for a long time!

Like I mentioned earlier, these beauty subscriptions are a way for me to try out new products and brands. Almost half the items in this December Allure Beauty Box were new to me, the products and brands.

I haven’t tried it yet but the LA Splash eyeliner has such a fine and detailed tip that makes for a precise application. I can’t wait to try the Bliss eye masks and the Zoya nail polish as well!

December is the last time we will see this box packaging for the Allure Beauty Box. The December box came with a fun scratch-off to not only let us see the new design but also a sneak peak of some items in the January box!!

The new box will now be a cute lil bag and I kind of like it already! It looks like it will be a nice re-usable clutch or something.

The scratch-off revealed that all subscribers will be receiving a Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon and either an Amika hair mask or a mini Beauty Blender!
