My Morning Skincare Routine | Fall 2018

A little backstory, my skin has been in shambles for months now. With out going into much detail, let’s just say my mental health was a big contributor to my skin issues. Adding to that, in the Summer months my skin gets a lot darker so my color hides a lot of my skin’s imperfections. Oh, and I definitely took advantage of that.

Prior to me slacking on my skincare routine, I usually stuck to a strict regimen. Moisture – Serum – Moisturizer. The only aspect in my routine would be the products. So, I present my current morning skincare routine!

I plan to make another post this week about the different facial cleansers I use so stay tuned!

After cleansing my face and pat drying it with a clean washcloth, I re-moisten my face with the @dermae Hydrating Mist. It is a very light spray with a fine mist that perfectly hydrates my face without making it feel soaking wet. It quickly absorbs into my skin a gives a natural dewy look and feel.

Next I go in with the Derma E Vitamin C serum. I struggle with dark areas and hyperpigmentation on my face particularly the lower half of my face. This Vitamin C serum so far has not done much for reducing my actual darkness but had made a huge difference in the texture of my skin. My skin is a lot smoother and plump.

Lastly I apply my new favorite sunscreen, the @coola Sun Silk Drops. I wrote about this product in my previous post so please go check that out! This stuff is amazing. I use sunscreen everyday but since I do use a vitamin C serum, my skin is even more vulnerable to the sun’s rays. This sunscreen has been my go-to and it not only protects from the harmful environmental rays but it is a great hydrating moisturizer!

In the same vein of moisture, my lips! I tend to really neglect my lips when it comes to moisturizing them. I really put them through a LOT. Most of the day my lips are covered in a very matte, very drying liquid lipstick and the rest of the day they are slathered in my spit from constantly licking them! Terrible, I know. But the @soldejaneiro Lip Butter has been the real MVP. This product really does nourish my lips and penetrates them to provide long-lasting moisture even over night!

And that’s it, my quick and easy morning skincare routine. Spot any of your favs?
