American Horror Story is definitely top 5 on my list of favorite shows of all time. And it’s number 1 on my list of most creepy but I just love it so much. Some may give me the side-eye when they hear I first got into the show in the 7th season! Eek!

Hear me out though, I have my reason for entering the franchise so late in the game. I was SCARED! As in genuinely frightened of the show and its whole premise. Prior to two years ago anything in the Horror or Horror-adjacent genre was a no for me. But let’s just say I had a “Horror Awakening” during grad school and went from 0 to 100 real quick. That’s a story for another day.

Long story short, I was eager and ready for the season premier of American Horror Story: Cult. I actually loved that season, so much so I went back and watched every season prior to it (many thanks to my Hulu subscription). Listen, I BECAME A FAN SO FAST! Like any normal person, I caught up on 6 seasons of a show in one week. nbd.

Anyway, as the premier of the latest season, American Horror Story: Apocalypse came closer, I decided I would do reviews on my YouTube channel of each episode as it aired. While I do take requests from my subscribers on what shows they’d like me to review, I’m a bit selective as to which shows I end up reviewing. My AHS was not at all asked for or mention but I just love the show so much and was too excited for the current season’s crossover between two of my favorite seasons, AHS: Murder House and AHS: Coven. Executive decision, it had to be done.

Wow, OK, that was a lot of backstory…anyway, I said all that to say this: Making YouTube Reviews as made me even more obsessed with American Horror Story. In general, I often look for connections or “easter eggs” in films and TV shows but wow, I search even more intently for “things that things” in each episode of AHS: Apocalypse and actively form new theories with each passing scene. It’s insane and I. LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH. I really enjoy engaging in the comment section on my YouTube videos about the show and swapping theories with my subscribers. It makes me even more excited for each new episode and desperate for “Wednesday nights on FX.”
