MY FIRST WIG REVIEW! | New Born Free MLUH94 (VIDEO)

I’ve been meaning to do wig reviews for a while now and I finally stopped procrastinating and did it! I wear wigs a good amount especially when I can’t be bothered to deal with my own 4C natural hair. This wig in particular I featured in my Valentine’s day make-up look video and blog post so figured I showcase it as my first official wig review. Read below for all the details on this unit!

Pros:

Style
The unit is pretty much wearable straight out of the pack. There is lace in the front to trim off but as far as the parting and texture and pattern of the hair, not much has to be done to it to make it look presentable. As a personal preference, I did not enjoy the tight, clumped curls so I used a flat iron at 300 degrees F to lightly loosen the curls.

Additionally, the texture I would say is a soft yaki with a natural looking lustre. So it doesn’t look plastic!

Color
The color is amazing! It’s a subtle gray tone that can be dressed up or down, suitable for day and night. I love it.

Cons:

Shedding
My one and only con is the SHEDDING. This thing was shedding the moment I put it on my head! I’ve worn this wig only twice with relatively low manipulation and yet it still tangles and sheds. For this reason, I don’t thing I could wear this for more than a few hours. Definitely not a night-out type of unit.
