In the wake of Kim Kardashian West posting a censored nude photo of herself on her twitter account, I took to my Youtube channel to declare that I was a new fan of KK! Here’s why. Immediately after she posted the photo, the whole world commenced to ‘slut-shaming’ Kim as per the usual. She was accosted with idiotic statements like, “she’s a mother, she shouldn’t be posting stuff like that” and “she’s a married woman, she shouldn’t be posting stuff like that” and “she’s a woman, she shouldn’t be posting stuff like that.” I’m sure these comments were not new to Ms. Kim K but what was new was her decision to CLAP BACK at the haters and boy, I was LIVING FOR IT! Kk showed no mercy! She even fired back at Queen Bette Midler for her (hilarious) comments. That is the moment I became a fan. A fan of her pettiness  ~watch my reaction video~ Personally, I love every minute of it. While Kim Kardashian is not someone I admire or even have that much interest in, I do think it is her right, along with any celebrity, to respond to any hate they receive. Just because someone is in the public eye does not mean you can say whatever you want about them AND get away with it.

But, the problem I have is with Kim Kardashian, and her supporters, trying to spin this into a feminist narrative. Nah. This aint about feminism, this is about YOU, Kim. 

Kim Kardashian never speaks up about women’s issues unless it is about HER. She is not actively or passively involved in the feminist agenda of equality for all women (not just for rich and white ones). She is mums-the-word when her rude, loud, and misogynistic husband publicly slut-shames and disrespects other women (i.e. Amber Rose, Taylor Swift). Kim is even quiet when Kanye West degrades her in his songs. Also, Kim, and her family, have been serial perpetrators of slut-shaming and disrespecting other women as well as the obvious cultural appropriation of other women!  Oh, but now she wants to bring up feminist issues because she is getting flack for yet another vain selfie. Girl, bye. Like I said in my video, Kk was probably scrolling through her phone and picked a photo (from a year ago) that would get people talking because the Kardashian/Jenner/West name was out of the forefront in the media for a bit too long (probably only three days).
